[Anyone out around the festival in the evening in Violet might notice someone tall, slim, in a silver and lavender kimono, silver-opal hair partly done up, full makeup, and preened to the hilt; a slightly less dead looking than usual Feebas carried in one arm with gold ribbons running through his “fin”, while a Pidgeotto hops along behind.]

[Yes, Kuja’s out enjoying the festivities, a touch more on the “trap” side than usual, and in an unusually good mood; feel free to go bother him, mistake him for a lady, etc!]

[Ritz is going to come out after she stops trying to set her Gear on fire with the power of her mind alone. She's... wearing her usual outfit, and has Mathis and Brenda following her.]

[[Bakura has no yukata (the thought to order one never occurred to him), but isn't letting that lack get in the way of him enjoying himself. He's got the full entourage of pokemon with him, dratini draped around his shoulders, hoppip in his hair, sableye lumbering at his side, and the trio of misdreavus, drifloon and ghastly floating behind him like a train.

So in a way, he as sort of decked out, wasn't he?

And despite the preened out look, there were still only a few other white haired sorts around, so Bakura's pretty sure he has at least an idea who this is!]]

Apparently the story is that two lovers in the heavens had neglected their duties in favor of spending time together, so the lady's father separated them by a river of stars. She pleaded for a chance to see her lover, and her father relented that on this day every year, if she was diligent in her work, she would be allowed, but he neglected to rebuild the bridge; the magpies heard her weeping and offered to make a bridge of their wings every year so they could be together. []

I'd be surprised if there weren't a theatre or two that had taken inspiration from a myth like that.
