[Anyone out around the festival in the evening in Violet might notice someone tall, slim, in a silver and lavender kimono, silver-opal hair partly done up, full makeup, and preened to the hilt; a slightly less dead looking than usual Feebas carried in one arm with gold ribbons running through his “fin”, while a Pidgeotto hops along behind.]

[Yes, Kuja’s out enjoying the festivities, a touch more on the “trap” side than usual, and in an unusually good mood; feel free to go bother him, mistake him for a lady, etc!]

Apparently the story is that two lovers in the heavens had neglected their duties in favor of spending time together, so the lady's father separated them by a river of stars. She pleaded for a chance to see her lover, and her father relented that on this day every year, if she was diligent in her work, she would be allowed, but he neglected to rebuild the bridge; the magpies heard her weeping and offered to make a bridge of their wings every year so they could be together. []

[Zidane follows the indication, looking at these things and recognizing that, at least, they're quite foreign to him]

Sounds like a play.

I'd be surprised if there weren't a theatre or two that had taken inspiration from a myth like that.

[] I was told that there was also a tradition of writing wishes on slips of paper and hanging them up with the decorations, in hopes they'd be granted.

[From what Zidane's heard, this world lacks dedicated theatre troupes, though he's really hoping that's inaccurate. Would be a terrible shame if it was the case]

Not too sure what I'd ask for, right about now. Guess I'm hoping the others are doing alright without me, but I'm always hoping for that.

Either way, it is a lovely festival, so we may as well enjoy it.

Does seem pretty interesting, at least. Never seen people dressed this way before, except Yuna.

It's entirely new to me - but then, I've only dealt with Terra and Gaea; I'd presume Yuna is one of the others from other worlds?

Yep, place called Spira. She and Jecht're from there, I think it's why they remembered so much.

Having others to act as reminders... [] It somehow doesn't seem right for you to've been thrown into something like that without any of your comrades from home.

I don't know all of how it works, but I wasn't the only guy in that situation. Besides, I'm not sure I would've wanted any other friends risking their lives in some war.

There is that ... I don't know how things went in the aftermath, but at least some of those involved had a chance for a peaceful life. []

Sounds that way, from what Cecil's said. Can't say much since I haven't seen it for myself.

...One can hope that he's right and you will be returned to your life; still, it does sound like the others you'd known on Gaea escaped, if you and I were the only ones involved that were from our world.

It's probably better that they didn't have to go through that.
