[2nd Scene] [Action for Cherrygrove]

[This is a joint post between Ritz and Kuja; replies will come from either or both, if there’s a preference just specify in subject line!]

[The Cherrygrove Pokémon center is going to get an Entrance, courtesy of two certain new arrivals to Johto who’ve been stranded on Route 29, delayed by the storms and water swarms, and are now very much not their usual selves – cleaning supplies have run out, the weather has had a nice laugh at their otherwise vaguely decent camping setup, and they both look a bit more dirty, frazzled, and ragged than usual; Kuja’s changed out of his usual armor and silks are stained, although not as much as they probably should be, and is now wearing although he does seem in weirdly better shape than Ritz by this point.]

Oh sweet civilization, how beautiful you are – I think we’ve discovered a wondrous palace-

BATH. NOW.

[That small exchange is all that’s overheard before there’s doors shutting and they become shameless mooches on the showers. It may be nearly impossible to interrupt this agenda.]

[A while later, Kuja’s the first one out, still fussing a little at his one change of clothes, but at least in a less “obstruct my path and die” mood visibly -]

AAAAUUUGHHHH!!!!!

[Although apparently the same can’t be said of Ritz, who has her hair in a towel as she emerges and an epic Scowl of Death.]

[Ritz's hair does not seem to take dye very well at all, and given how long they were out between towns, Ritz's hair finally gave up the dye when she got it clean. And now she is sulking and wearing... the exact same outfit as Kuja, actually.]

[Ritz is making an epic sort of face.] And you understand being called a granny by every idiot who thinks it's clever? You get your mother looking at you like- like-- [Ritz is making a frustrated and inarticulate noise in the back of her throat and laying out her stuff to organize it and give her something to do.]

[] Ah - my apologies; where I'm from, it's common to be dealing with dogs and rats as often as anything, and that color of hair isn't entirely unheard of - it would've hardly drawn a second glance.

[Ritz is still glaring at her stuff. Maybe if she stares it down bad enough she can make decent camping supplies appear.] That doesn't make it any less--

It might be possible to re-dye it; I imagine the stores here would have something that could be used.

[The fact that you're not pressing the issue helps.] I'd keep using up my money- for some reason dye doesn't play well with my hair. I'll think of something.

Some kind of hat might work, but it'd be awkward if you're not accustomed to it, and potentially unreliable.

Yeah. Like I said, I'll think of something. [And she's enough of a pragmatist to suck it up if it doesn't work- though she won't be happy by any means.]

We are, at least, in a town where it'll be easier to find proper supplies for the next part of the journey. []

Wonderful. [] I certainly hope there's a decent place to get real food while we're getting supplies here; I am not living off of that while we're in town.

...That's stuff you only live off of if you have to. I get the impression we won't be able to do much in the way of hunting, but we may be able to forage. [Ritz is letting her hair down carefully and frowning at it. Geh.]

If you think it would help, it shouldn't be difficult to find something to put it back - I'd be surprised if there weren't a shop that had ribbons or hair clips and combs.

That's not the problem. The problem is it being visible. [It's pretty clear she doesn't think so.]

I know back home they were talking about making freeze-dried camping food... I say we find some real dinner, first.
